A Promise We Make to Every Animal
Every day, animals arrive at DuPage County Animal Services with nowhere else to turn. Some are frightened. Some are injured. Some have been abandoned or forgotten. But every single one is met with the same promise: they will not be turned away.
As a non-taxpayer-funded, open-admission shelter, DuPage County Animal Services cares for all domestic animals in need—dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, guinea pigs, and more—regardless of age, medical condition, or circumstance.
In 2025, that promise took a major step forward with the opening of a new, state-of-the-art shelter facility. Designed with compassion and innovation at its core, the new building provides space for enrichment, socialization, training, medical care, and progressive programs that give animals the best possible chance at healing and finding a loving home.
But a building alone does not save lives.
The Capital Campaign continues to ensure this incredible facility can fully support the lifesaving work happening inside its walls every day. Ongoing funds are essential to cover the operational costs that allow animals to receive quality care, individualized attention, and the time they need to find their furever families.
As the philanthropic partner to DuPage County Animal Services, DuPage Animal Friends exists to strengthen this mission. Through advocacy and financial support, we help sustain the compassionate, innovative services that ensure no animal is ever turned away—and every animal is given hope.
Your support of the Capital Campaign is an investment in lives saved, families created, and a community that refuses to give up on its most vulnerable.
