As a non-tax payer funded, open-admission animal shelter, DuPage County Animal Services (DCAS) cares for all domestic species of animals from cats, dogs, rabbits, birds, guinea pigs and more.
The current building no longer meets the needs of the many animals cared for or provides sufficient work spaces for staff and volunteers. It is too small, inefficient and outdated.
The new and expanded building will allow the shelter to operate more efficiently, provide much-needed space for progressive programs, and allow for the compassionate care, socialization, enrichment, and training for unwanted and abandoned pets. The state-of-the-art facility will enhance the quality of life of the animals during their stay at the shelter and be a valuable resource to people in our community.
As the philanthropic partner to DuPage County Animal Services, DuPage Animal Friends’ mission is to strengthen the lifesaving, compassionate and innovative initiatives at the shelter by providing financial resources and advocating on their behalf.
